About Me
I fell in love with computers and video games at a very young age, playing educational games on my father's Macintosh IIvi the moment I could sit up on my own and click a mouse. I never stopped playing as I got older, and soon discovered the power of games as a medium to convey stories, share experiences, and provide an escape from the mundane.
My passion for video games inspired me to pursue a bachelor's degree in game development at Brock University. After my undergrad, I wanted to expand my knowledge into other kinds of interactive media, prompting me to pursue a master's degree in user experience design. Now, I am fortunate to work as a UX designer in the games industry, blending my game design & UX background to specialize in gameplay UX.
In my work, I'm a detail oriented designer who loves to work on big-picture stuff- from creating design guidelines to mapping the overarching vision of a product (and I especially love to make flowcharts and gameplay HUDs :). Ultimately, I strive to create impactful, human-centric experiences- and the possibility that my work could incite emotion, provoke thought, or even provide a fun escape is the driving force behind everything that I do.
